What is glaucoma? 
One of the most commonly occuring of all eye problems faced by older people is glaucoma. This is a condition where the optic nerve of the eye does not function properly as the liquid in the inner eye starts drying up.

How does the drug work?
This medicine is an ophthalmic glaucoma agent, hence, this medicine works by lowering the fluid pressure inside the eyes, by increasing the inflow of aqueous humor. As mentioned already, the active ingredient present in this medicine is Bimatoprost, which helps with this mechanism. This drug can also be taken to increase the growth, length and thickness of the eyelashes.  
What are the dosage instructions for Careprost?
This medicine needs to be taken exactly according to the instructions provided by the doctor, because any changes in the dose adjustments without the prior knowledge of the doctor can prove to be dangerous for your health. Please do note that Careprost 3 ml is meant to be used externally only. to use this the right way, hold the dropper close to the eye without actually touching it, and squeeze gently to get the liquid out. The drop should be placed right inside the lower eyelid. Any extra liquid that comes out is to be wiped off immediately. 
In case you miss a dose by accident, administer the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not overcompensate and take double the dosage to make up for the missed dose. If you accidentally overdose on this medicine, consult your doctor immediately.

  • Liver diseases: people suffering from liver ailments should take this only on the recommendation of the doctor. 
  • Macular edema: patients suffering from this condition should be cautious while taking this medicine. Any strange side effect should be reported to the doctor immediately. 
  • Uveitis: patients suffering from this condition should use Careprost 3 ml with caution.
